Typical values for light levels in cities

Typical values in European cities are Paris 1 lx (0.01 W/m²), Berlin 0.1-1 lx (0.01-0.1 W/m²), Vienna (city border) 0.05 to 1 lx. Darkest values are 600 ulx (6 10⁻⁶ W/m²)

Typical values for light levels at observatory or natural sites

Paranal and in the Austrian alps, with no milky way and bright star regions up. 1-2 mlx (10⁻⁵ W/m²) are very good values.
